Draw Thursday-
I’d like a semi-final draw against Clare.
I’d like first round v Cork, winner to play Waterford, followed by Clare (who beat Tipp) in the Munster final.
Munster will be an almighty dogfight. Just hope to avoid a quarter final draw - everyone can beat everyone else on their day so the shortest route possible please.
More matches please. If you’re good enough to win two games on the way to the final you’re in better shape to win the final.
True enough.
A run of games, either direction, would be great for the team.
We finally have a genuine championship again after years of Kilkenny steamrolling everyone.
We have to thank the refs for this also for finally clamping down on their cheating.

Yeah more matches is great in theory but to win three games in Munster and retain our crown would take a monumental effort. Personally would take the quickest front door route - otherwise could end up with a horror draw similar to what Tipp faced this year.
You’d think that kind of cheating would have been clamped down upon after the first 10 or 11 years or so of it.
You cetainly would. It’s mind blowing how long the association let it go on for, but it has been eradicated now, thankfully.
Sure it has.
Limerick won’t win anything if real significance lads. They don’t have the hurlers for August/Sep hurling in CP.
After watching Clare the last two days, we are way off that standard alright, but a limited enough Cork team took them to the brink so we have to believe. Downes is a hurler for CP and was very badly used this year-along with Hannon and Dowling, if these three are managed properly we will always be in with a chance. Mulcahy has had a bad year, but if he returns to form he is as good as any one in the country. We have problems around the pitch but we’ve as good a chance as most.
Cork have Paudie Sull to come back in, not hearing much suggestion that they have much else. Limerick have Downes, Dowling and a few others that were left on the bench most of the year, a couple more knocking around the club scene to come onto the panel, a younger panel overall, and I would say 3 minors that look like they will be ready for the panel/team in two years.
Sure we’ll see what way both teams go.
Clare’s achievement will give a genuine boost to all counties. Galway included.
We simply didn’t have the unpredictability to beat KK last year. Our game plan was exposed in the Leinster final and we never really veered much from it. KK figured it out quite easily and devised a way to beat us.
Clare would want to be reminded of the Tipp team that won 2010 though, weren’t they going to do 3 in a row or something?

5 in a row
Munster will be savage next year. Four genuine All Ireland contenders. And Tipp won’t want to be just making up the numbers again next year.
