All Ireland Hurling Championship 2014

Think it will be a close one. Cork half back line is poor, just a pity that waterford don’t have anybody there to exploit it. I would have nearly tried Kevin Moran centre forward to run at the Cork defence

This is basically Cork’s good forwards against Waterford’s good backs. Both are weak at their respective opposite ends. You’d have to fancy cork to come through. Having looked at sets of limerick forwards for years and wondering where the scores are going to come from it looks like Waterford are in the same boat and won’t post enough to win. Pity about the injuries for Waterford, I’d fancy them to cause an upset with their best 15 on the pitch.

No one from Waterford travelling, they’re saying on the radio.

Waterford had a -12 goal differential in their 5 league games. Wouldn’t really describe that as good.
They need to be much better than that today to stand any chance.

Fickle fuckers. The cider crew will be back out in force the next day if they win today.

Will the green army be out in force next week?

The ground will be shaking when Teege’s army roll into Thurles.

About 8-10k?

Thinks Waterford will have to somehow turn it into a low scoring battle to come out on top.

I’m no good at estimating the size of crowds Mark, but I’d say there are at least two million of them out there.

To be fair every county is the same. Most people just are not arsed if it’s not a provincial final or a big day out in Croke Park. Both Munster hurling semi finals last year only had 19k at each.

There’s not even much talk at home about next Sunday. The whole farce over O’Grady’s departure means that a lot of people won’t bother going to Ibrox.
