I will always remember Bergin for costing Tipp that munste championship game against Limerick few years back when he attempted to do a fist pump after winning a free and ended up throwing his hurling and had a free awarded against him which Limerick scored.
When was that? 2014?
You won’t see a player start on Ryan’s team with such poor fist pump fundamentals.
I think Tipp will drive on again now. I’m sure most of the squad were silently uncomfortable about playing with a homophobe bigot.
You would’ve thought he was worth putting on the other day. Surely would’ve added a bit more aggression around the middle. Don’t blame him for walking away
Bergin was married out in New York at one stage
Da fuck?
Yup, to some narrow back with a few sprogs if I remember correctly.
Paddy Purcell putting on a show in Navan, has about 3-4 from play to his name from midfield at HT
Laois 3-13
Meath 0-7
Not a Centre back obviously cc @Bandage
Laois 3-25
Meath 2-13
Kerry 0-20
Westmeath 2-12
Laois 4
Kerry 2
Meath 2
Westmeath 0
Laois to travel to Tralee, Westmeath will host East Meath.
FWIW Laois’ midfield of Paddy Purcell and Ross King scored a total of 3-17 between them, including 3-10 of Laois’s 3-13 in the first half.
So Laois v Wexford once they win down in Tralee?
Laois will do well to win in Tralee, Kerry are strong in the air throughout and that’s generally Laois’ Achilles heel, no primary ball winners and questionable on the full back line. Matt Whelan should be back to anchor at 6 but Cahir Healy did his hamstring today so that’s a problem in the corner now.
Laois are in a strong position in the RR. 2 wins from 2, and +16 SD. I suspect Kerry will win, and Meath will beat WM, leaving 3 teams on 4 pts. Barring a disaster Laois’ SD should see us through, with Kerry in second.
The top two will have an open draw I’m lead to believe to see who plays Wexford/Offaly. Forward planning on the cage for Davy is underway should it be Laois v Wexford in OMP.
Westmeath seem to have regressed a bit after a few years of knocking on the door.
Is there a gap of a week between the final round of the RR and the Wex/Offaly games? If so Offaly are a serious prize, no doubt it’s 4 weeks on the trot though.
There should be a 2 week gap, it was changed 2 or 3 years back iirc. Aye, Offaly obviously a massively prize, especially as Laois would have them at home as RR qualifiers automatically get home advantage. Kerry won’t get a home game obviously.
The state of the Westmeath freetaker on Buff’s snapchat story today.
Brendan Murtagh?
Alan Devine?
His snapchat story today is tremendous.
Ah I just presumed it would be Murtagh who has a fair few miles on the clock now and could be forgiven a bit of timber
He wasn’t fat. Just had a hilarious “routine”.
