Westmeath with one 2 point win in the legendary round robin qualify to play League quarter finalists Offaly
Laois, unbeaten throughout, get league semi finalists Wexford.

Delighted for Westmeath.
Those Wexford cunts have been playing Kilkenny all along in their head and will be completely undercooked for Laois.Go out and rattle them.
We’ll beat them by a point a man
They’re making inroads and have had decent results in the Leinster championship particularly underage recently.
Would’ve been a shame to see them drop down to Christy ring.
What about Meath? Beat Kerry, unbeaten in 2 years before being trounced by Laois. Didn’t do much less wrong than Westmeath, a county whose County Board regularly blackguard Hurling.
That’s sport pal,
Westmeath are further down the line…I’ve nothing against Meath hurling…but their is more interest in the game in Westmeath.
What are you basing the interest in hurling in Westmeath beating greater than Meath on?
Nothing mate, he is talking shite.
I preferred when he walked himself into that realization, but fair enough. I just wanted to give him an opportunity patronize both counties equally
I’d imagine that the west westmeath area where it blends with east Galway must be a hurling area.
It’s the Mullingar and surrounding area in Westmeath that’s into hurling
If westmeath and meath joined up would they have the makings of a decent team? Laois and Carlow as well. Maybe throw offally in with either combo as well. Would any of them challenge for a leinster final? Or would they still be cannon fodder for the serious counties?
Might not be a bad idea, would make it twice as easy for the GAA to ignore them all then.
The fact that they beat KK in the u21 championship last year.
Massive result, it would’ve been a shame if their seniors were relegated to christy ring…when there’s clearly a competitive group coming through.
