Were wexford training all year to produce this muck? I’d imagine the players have bought into the system / tactical chicanery but the application of it is poor. I thought they would be better than this.

When he was a young lad coming through all his best work was when he was isolated in at full forward one on one. He never gets that chance anymore
Wexford’s league semi-final defeat by Kilkenny was a big turning point for them.
They were making good progress up to that but took a serious tanking that day and I think that knocked them back a lot.
They at least put in a performance against Kilkenny in the championship but they still lost after having a good lead, which reinforced the previous result.
The limitations of both their game plan and their hurlers have become very apparent this year and were there too against Waterford last year. They seem to me to be a team playing with full knowledge that they are limited and don’t look to have much confidence.
Davy has hit a serious fork in the road with them.
