I see 2 of the Joe McDonagh counties enter this competition later in the summer

They’ll be edge of the seat games.

I’m sure this has been discussed but surely it would have made sense to run off the 2 provincial round robin groups. Then have your 2 semi finals (Leinster winners vs Munster runner up and vice versa) and your final.

Who thought it was a good idea to have 2 mismatches in the middle of the summer ?

A pity Tipp - Cork and Clare - Waterford don’t appear to be televised live.

Probably have to show some dross from the Connacht or Leinster football championship the same day to fill their quotas.

To be fair it works both ways. It appears Dublin vs Kilkenny in hurling is on live, meaning either Mayo vs Galway or more likely Donegal vs Cavan won’t be shown.

They weren’t great to be honest. The Tyrone vs Armagh and Dublin vs Monaghan double header was the least enjoyable day I’ve had in HQ
