Wan-wan
Very harsh red and embarrassing from Maher.
Also on topic of embarrassing, another one for Nash. He hit the deck in dramatic fashion when challenged by physical behemoth Bill Sheehan.
Babs is a gas cunt
What a pass
Extremely informative to see him pull it out in a game Tipp should have been feeling comfortable in
I didnât see him do too many of those in the Munster FinalâŚ
Think DoG called it right there. No striking back lads, even with minimal force.
Depends on the view from the outside I suppose. they had a homecoming. Its a strange one for Wexford, they won the game in Croke Park so there was no pitch invasion or celebration in front of the fans or anything, and then winning the minor and also the ladies won their Leinster final too that day, so a homecoming in the Park wasnt the strangest of things to have. They had a prior booked fundraising event for the following Friday at the Wexford races, so again, that gave the impression of them out celebrating. But that was the last public event that the players have been allowed seen with the cup. They went back training and moved on mid week after the Leinster final. If the public perception outside is that they are happy with their lot and still celebrating, then great. Long grass and all that bullshit and as you say, Davy will take on a lot of the hype onto his shoulders and leave the players free from that.
In fairness to Sheehan, he saw his opportunity and nailed him.
Owens probably should have reversed the free in, maybe he thought Nash needed it.
I know we got knocked out of the Walsh Cup by Galway when Canning gave a Tour de France in Bellefield, but do you recall if we played Kilkenny in it this season?
Having beaten them in the league and then had a draw and victory over them in the championship, the law of averages would surely suggest theyâll beat us next time we meet.
All in for the yella bellies
Youâll fall in when your wife tells you.
Davy will take it on the Chin
Whoâs next in line for the mangerâs job in Cork? - Might we see a 1or 2 year return of John Allen to transition to the next team ⌠I think Cork are primed to win an AI in 2022.
Mark Landers, the Rock, Pat Ryan, Pat Mulcahy, John Allen, OâGrady, these are the names usually bandied about.
We beat them in Bellefield too, low scoring game with no goals. Paudie Foley scored a hape of frees.
Wow. That didnât register with me - it must have clashed with the Scottish Cup 4th round. 3 wins and a draw against Kilkenny this season. I guess we need to focus on Tipperary though.
97 and 01 the last times we played Tipp in the semi finals? I remember the 97 one with all the talk beforehand about how physical Wexford were and that the ref had to be up on his game to protect the Tipp lads. Rory McCarthy was pole axed out of the game with an illegal challenge and fuck all done over it. The 01 drawn game had Brother O Gorman from midfield doing wreck and salvaging a draw. Martin Storey made an appearance too as a sub. Liam Dunne and Brendan O Meara sent off in the replay for a bit of handbags. And Mitch Jordan sent off late on for a wild pull. A young David Doc O Connor playing in that drawn game and replay. Eoin Kelly too for Tipp only a young lad making his name at the time.
Beating Carlow is hardly all ireland winning form.
