The 2nd Tipp goal today is a good example. Clare just coming back into the game. Heās barely touched the ball in the 2nd half. Ball comes back off post and he slots it away with little or no fuss. Completely ruthless when he needs to be.

After a few flakey years he put his mind to it and turned himself into possibly the best full forward of the modern age.
If he had the extra bit of āedgeā and leadership quality that the likes of Ring and Shefflin had, he might have won a few more medals.

Callanan had a very middling start, then a few great years, then dropped off the past few, now is back on it. Heās now added more strings to his bow coming out the field more. Joe will never get the ball in that callinan does, or the support to take pressure off. Start at 2008 to now with a choice id pick canning all day long, but Callanan has hit some heights.

I dont think any forward got the service Callanan did over the last 10 years ā¦ thereās no denying his quality but there have been as many questionable years as there were great. Lethal when firing but too many days when he allowed the likes of Richie McCarthy bully him.

Almost a jordan lebron debate really. Seamus Jordan had an unbelievable level of play for a few years on great teams, lebron canning has had a better overall career and has had to carry a lot of teams on his own. Something Air Callanan never did

Not interested in a long debate at this hour but just think its important to point out that Callananās movement is the main reason the ball going into him is so good. Heās almost always well in front of his man going to a ball

Yeah but that still requires good ball going in, movement is one half of it. He was almost a one trick pony for a while, tipp would leave him on an island, hed time a great run and gather and spin and wouldnāt be touched. Heās showing this year hes a great playmaker too.

Waterford let them do what they wanted, Limerick wouldāve been better off with another hard game. Theyāre fairly hard to come by though when youāve got cannon fodder like Waterford and Clare in the province
