Fred
I hear derek is reading his dictionary again as preparation for a summer of punditry.
Ref appointments.
Waterford v Clare - James Owens.
Cork v Tipperary - Sean Cleere.
Kilkenny v Dublin - Cathal McAllister
Galway v Carlow - Colm Lyons.
I won a terrace ticket in the club raffle for Sunday’s match. Word is that Clare are not taking their full allocation and that more tickets are coming back to the clubs.
Yip, very low profile in Clare for this game. Think the long trek to Waterford for a 2pm throw in and the fact that tickets were only available through the clubs seems to have contributed to this a bit. Would be surprised if a 1500 Clare fans make the journey.
Not good from the Clare hurling fraternity . To think that one of their own made this trip 3 times a week from 2008 to 2011.
GGA is dead
Clare v Waterford games over the last decade have had pretty poor attendances. Doubt they have broken 20k since the 2004 meeting
Nobody’s interested in GGA until the EPL season finishes.
Mayo bring 10k to NY and clare aren’t fit to bring a fifth of that to Waterford because they might miss ‘the dinner’.
Limerick only brought 7k to an all ireland quater final against Kilkenny last season.
There’s no Scotty’s in Waterford
You’ll never get on social media waving your shoes around in Waterford Town at 11am of a wet Sunday, not unless you get tasered. *
*deservedly.
KK only brought 4k to a AI QF v Limerick last year and were outnumbered 4 to 1… shocking stuff.
Seems as if I was right. GGA is indeed dead
True. The 7k neutrals that attended made the day, in fairness.
The Galway minors had a huge support & there are a huge number of 10 year tickets in Tipp .
What do we reckon this weekend lads
@Elvis_Brandenberg_Kr are we doing another prediction comp?
KK
Galway
Waterford
Tipp
I’d go with the above, although the two Munster ones are tough to call. We’ll see how true league form is this weekend I guess.
