If Dublin are going to beat Kilkenny in Nowlan Park, they might never get a better chance. We already know they aren’t the force they once were and they will be without 7 players who started in last year’s quarter-final.

Now, some of them are bigger losses than others but Murphy & Buckley in particular are big players for them. Dublin had a decent league, will be hoping they have progressed from last year where they probably should have beaten Kilkenny and now are facing a side who have a few injuries.

GAA Stats on Twitter, a friend tells me, says Dublin beat Kilkenny at a Kilkenny venue in 1942. Laois won the 1949 Leinster Final at Nowlan Park.
