Laois deserved that.
They had Limerick by the balls in a Thurles qualifier in 2009 but couldnât get over the line.
Laois deserve to pause for a moment and soak it in man, but the Leinster championship should be excellent next year. Last two years Offaly first and then Carlow havenât threatened to upset anyone really, but Laois as evidenced today clearly have the ability to get results.

Donât forget the very tough quarter finals they had to play against Kildare in 1980 and London in 1988.
Laois beat Dublin by 14 points in the Leinster Championship as recently as 2005. Laois v Dublin historically very evenly matched in hurling. Any keen follower of Leinster hurling would have known that Laois had every chance today. Its the Munster hurling types that are surprised by this result. Bless them.
