Anyone at that double header today certainly got their moneys worth
There wonât be a woman abducted and buried in the Slieve Blooms for a week.
Laois deserved that.
They had Limerick by the balls in a Thurles qualifier in 2009 but couldnât get over the line.
Laois deserve to pause for a moment and soak it in man, but the Leinster championship should be excellent next year. Last two years Offaly first and then Carlow havenât threatened to upset anyone really, but Laois as evidenced today clearly have the ability to get results.
They did. Iirc rashers got a couple of monsters to see us through
The GAA experiment of throwing money at Dublin proves you can manufacture footballers but you simply canât manufacture hurlers.
All the more reason to let them play all their games at home next year
8 actually.
Donât forget the very tough quarter finals they had to play against Kildare in 1980 and London in 1988.
Laois beat Dublin by 14 points in the Leinster Championship as recently as 2005. Laois v Dublin historically very evenly matched in hurling. Any keen follower of Leinster hurling would have known that Laois had every chance today. Its the Munster hurling types that are surprised by this result. Bless them.
All we are short now is a boring post from @GeoffreyBoycott about the virtues of the Leinster championship over the Munster
A real vindication of the strength of Leinster hurling.
Enjoy it @myboyblue
Delighted for Niall Corcoran too. A gent.
