I know a fella whoâs on the spectrum and has a similar fascination
Nothing but maybe bring Liam home
Are you alright? Have you had a bang to the head? Cork will be dismantled this Sunday.
Is it Cork v Kilkenny in the Minor game on Sunday?
cork minors were sent packing in Munster.
Well done on your joy at the weekend
did Kerry beat laois in the Joe McDonagh in 2018?
cork minors were sent packing in Munster.
I thought I saw Cork against Kilkenny down for a 2pm throw in
Fuck me that change Tipp kit is awful.
Any good hurlers in the 22 lads that turned down Eddie for Laois?
I thought David Gough was precluded from refereeing Dublin games as he teaches in Dublin.
That was also my understanding.
He doesnât teach anymore in Dublin
Overall the hurling championship structural change is shocking. Weâre at the 8 of July now and weâve 5 championship hurling games left and one of them wonât be interesting at all as itâll be a complete turkey shoot. In may and June we were having at least 3 interesting games a weekend if not four. I nearly booked accommodation for the traditional first Sunday in September slot too (I go every year nothing to do with my own counties expectations) and it simply doesnât seem right weâve changed. Weâd a few replays last year which made things more acceptable. I donât see why need to run off our games so quickly.
Club scene mate. Gives them some chance to play matches. Iâm all for the early finish myself.
Does it? In limerick weâd always have at least one round of club championship over the summer now nothing happens till September. This new structure screws the clubs even more.
Itâs bizarre. Championship started on 11 May right in the middle of college exams for the sizeable proportion of players that now make up intercounty teams now.
Essentially 75% of the hurling championship was played off in a 5 week period from 11 May to 16 June.
True but are they going to go to old format in munster? No chance so if all ireland goes back to first week of September looking at late September for a club game.
Curtain raiser

Yep itâs nuts and I presume a raft of players from say Galway, Waterford amd Clare left the country to play in the states? Itâs crazy. Youâve about a 7 month pre season and then play 75 percent of the games in 5 weeks as you say. The league needs to go if you are keeping a round robin format. Start the first round of championship on the 20th of April. Have 3 weeks between the games. Play club championship the following week after inter county championship and then give inter county set ups 2 weeks prep. It would suit everybody much more than this ridiculous system.
