Iāve come to conclusion that next yearās championship is going to be the most exciting, competitive and even in living memory. Most teams capable of beating each other. Teams now familiar with the format some will be better prepared for it. Should be huge crowds at some of the round robin games like Tipp vs Limerick, Limerick vs Clare.
Limerick - best team in the country. Up on the pedestal waiting to be knocked off
Galway - most consistent team over the past 4 years
Cork - 2 in a row provincial champions and best team not to reach the AI over the past 4 years.
Clare - Seem to have rediscovered their 2013 mojo and have a bit of defensive solidity as well as blooding lads successfully.
KK - Codys last year surely if they donāt win it. A few of their elder statemen will see it as their last chance also.
Wex- Davys last hurrah with this team.
Tipp - Last chance for the 06/07 minor team. Will be buoyed by the under 21 win.
Waterford - Hangover of 17 exploits gone now. Will now have 2 home games.
Dublin - Very unlucky not to get a scalp in 18. Gilroy should now know his team better and will get some more players back.
Did I not read that he were hoping to have Walsh Park ready? Surely Kildare getting Newbridge for the Mayo game would force yer county board to force the issue.
I imagine the announced dates for the Munster championship means the All-Ireland hurling final will be on August 18th with the football final on September 1st, rather than the mooted dates of August 11th and 25th.
I imagine too that itās only a matter of time before the finals return to their traditional/modern traditional dates on the first and third Sundays of September. Iāll speculate that that will happen in 2021.
We will weāll beat the savages and Cark at home and beat Waterford wherever we will throw the Tipp game to avoid a Munster final to give us a handy spin against Offaly before the real competition begins
