Storm Devanney
A grand day for hurling down here. Clare minors playing a Davy esque style of hurling. Waterford just after butchering a goal chance.
One for the ridiculous sportsperson names
Add Reuben Halloran to the list
It’s an amateur sport at the end of the day. Unless you want to review every score mistakes will be made.
That looks rightly nice Fagan. Enjoy the day.
Embarrassing the way RTÉ shoehorn a five minute ad for the Sunday game at the start of this broadcast. Jackie Hurley - the Sunday game is Ireland
It’s a long time since I played in Mount Sion but that surface
Clare win by 2. Great result considering majority of the team are under 16 and they left Clare very early this morning, thought that might run out of steam.
Waterford nothing hectic. Clare had some poor wides. Galvin playing as the extra defender was very good while there are some very classy forwards. Might be a bit too light and get caught out later in the year but plenty of hurling in the team.
Extra defenders at u17, Jesus is weeping inconsolably somewhere.
Davy’s acolytes are the management team. This group of under 16s are very highly rated. Heaven forbid that Pat Fitz would give someone outside the inner circle an opportunity to manage them.
Fair dues.
He was up at Antrim v Kerry yesterday.
Question for ye. @Declan_Moffat has just posted that London have arrived to play Meath, but their hurls were lost by ryanair or whoever. What would, or should happen now? They’ll surely try and find some, and play regardless??
Acolytes
It’s awful to see. It’s possible to play defensive systems without deploying a sweeper. I think it’s lazy coaching.
You’d imagine Meath would supply them from spares.
You could have a lad who needs a 36 playing with a 30.
The accent on this jacob one is quare annoying
Anything in the rulebook about such an eventuality?
What’s Tristan Loftus as gaeilge?
I haven’t a breeze mate.
I doubt it though. I once played a hurling match where we had to borrow a set of jerseys and turn them inside out
