All Ireland Hurling Final 2014- Kilkenny vTipperary

I was gonna go but my football career has to come first- Game at 10.30am in Shelbourne Park, Limerick- all welcome.

I’ve a few cousins from Tipp en route for this and they all have tickets. They’ll be going for a score a pop if not less before the game.

Tickets sorted. Sandwich order put in. Bring it on!

Typical townies.

The Desmond League cancelled all games so people could attend the match.

Whats the story with tickets going on general sale in Tipp, I’ve never heard of this happening. Is this likely to be a poorly attended final ? If so it’s a very nice fuck you very much to the Gaa for charging blanket rates on good and utterly shit tickets.

There’s no change in the price policy though, is there? All stand tickets - from central lower Hogan to corner upper Davin - have been €80 for the last good number of years.

Isnt there cheaper “obscured view” seats in the upper tier behind the big screen in the Davin? There used to be anyway.

Is this happening? Link? I was gonna head in and pick one up outside but no harm having a pick of seats

Is it a population thing with the counties?

there is also a cohort of neutrals who go to finals - maybe that is changing and lads only go to games where own county playing

80 euro to see your county win an AI is money you would never regret spending

For me:

Hogan/Cusack Stand middle 5 sections - €80
Hogan/Cusack Stand sections on the other sides of the middle - €60
Davin End - €50
Hill 16/Nally End - €40

80 euro is actually decent value for an all Ireland final

What do people think it’s overpriced in comparison to?

80euro for the minor final is a joke… They hardly expect Limerick people to stay on and watch those Tipp bastards?!

Yeah, but without even staying for the senior final you also get the Artane Band, Hector or someone having hilarious high jinks on the pitch in the build up, children’s games on the pitch between matches, some crowd from a drama/arts company shaking massive county flags and walking around the pitch with them and a chance to pay tribute to the wonderful Tipperary 1989 jubilee team. Bargain.

Well when it’s laid out in front of you like that it’s hard to complain alright.

They are just spoiled for success in Kilkenny. Tipp must be expecting to be beaten out the gate.

Anybody who has a ticket for Sunday from Limerick should be guaranteed a ticket for the next senior AI final Limerick get to - something they could pass down the generations like a relic

Best of luck to all TFK members playing in Sunday’s final.

there is only the one I think

Two

These lads are an absolute credit to TFK. They take sickening abuse from faceless and anonymous keyboard warriors in good grace and then go out and deliver top class performances in front of thousands. Those posters peddling abuse should remember that players have to get up for college every third or fourth morning.

up for school more like…
