This is the real issue for Kilkenny.
The plan to create an atmosphere of anarchy on the field so the windy tipp forwards can get a pucking is under threat as a result of kellys appointment.
Brian Cody says he gleaned nothing from Clare in their All-Ireland-winning season last year.

Why does Brian Cody insist on coming out with this sh1te.
Kilkenny dont do tactics but they completely changed the way their wing forwards played to beat cork in the mid 2000s and this season they are retaining the ball far more than they ever did before yet he claims they havnt changed a thing.
They just go out and hurl. ffs

You’re full of p1ss and w1nd, pal. K1lkenny don’t do tact1cs - the1r game 1s based on genu1ness, manl1ness and honesty.
The good, honest hits are what people want to see. If the GAA don’t realise it’s a physical game then they should just give up the field in Croke Park and sow spuds on it.”

Good to see some sense being talked in the media by the likes of Eddie O’Connor concerning Barry Kelly. He needlessly sent of Shefflin last year and lets hope he doesn’t feel the need to ruin what should be a great occasion.
Said it already, I’ve no problems with Kelly reffing the game. He’s about the best ref out there and at least he’s consistant. The man is only human and calls it the best he can. If it’s a case that he makes a mistake, well in this modern era of media etc he’ll get commented upon at length about it and people will give their views either yeah or neh. As a hurling supporter and not a KK man I just want to see a good honest game of hurling - no dirty strokes, just tough honest hurling. If someone crosses over that line then they should be punished.
Tickets in the bag too, upper Cusack. Bawking at the €80 price! Far too much IMO.
