Limerick emulated Waterford (1959) and Clare (1997) today in beating the traditional Big 3 of Cork, Tipperary and Kilkenny in the same season. Both of those sides won the All Ireland.

If either Galway or Clare win the All Ireland, they’ll have only beaten one of the Big 3 in this campaign. At least in Galway’s case, they’d have gone through the campaign unbeaten.

I didn’t pal. Had to make do with a public house in Clonakilty. Made a holy show of myself roaring and shouting but I don’t give a monkeys.

As @TreatyStones rightly points out people who missed yesterday but will be looking for tickets for the final would sicken you…

I’m starting a new job today. I’m odd at the best of times but it’s going to be tough to appear normal today with the adrenaline still coursing through me after yesterday.

I know I know, Limerick and Clare have a huge amount of football All Ireland’s between them, very difficult to sustain both codes at that level. It’s just a pity there may be a small tinge of ordinary-ness when history looks back on this year as a whole, leaving aside the giddiness of tight games, due to the fact the the main stays of hurling are going through a bit of a lull currently

The trains from Cork look to be booked out … they were either uber confident or Irishrail are up to no good here.

Alot of the Cork trains are also Limerick/Limerick Junction trains so Limerick people on the ball too probably.

The train I got to Kildare last night was a Galway bound train. Went to re-book same train again this morning for the 19th and only a handful of seats were left. There is a free cancellation option so people getting in early I suppose
