There was a chap called to the house here some months back to deliver a publicly-funded contraption for my oul’ lad. It was a couple of days after Limerick beat Galway in the league at Pearse Stadium.
Before he said where he was from (he’d driven from Dublin) I said to him “I bet that’s a Limerick accent” - it was, he was from Adare.
We got talking about Limerick hurling and I asked him how he thought they’d go this year. He told me “I think there’s an All-Ireland in them.”
