how i think this will play out
last day with 10 mins out limerick were toast- cork did a cork on it as we had seen previous with Tipp in June and allowed Limerick back in, hit a post, a great save from the keeper- before we knew it it was extra time- cork hobbled out with 13 fit players, limerick sprang a few lads and that was that…
Now after 60mins last day that game was won for cork- how they allowed limerick back in only they know- i fully believe that cork let limerick win that game as opposed to limerick actually winning it from cork

  • limerick didnt have to battle very hard to haul back that 6 points they way in which cork just decelerated was alarming and that and the width of a post allowed limerick back in, the hoohaa about limerick’s bench also, yeah-it looked ok in ET but the opposition had imploded

bottom line
cork were better than limerick for 60 mins and handed them the game- it was almost as bad as offaly in 1994 for limerick
i fancy galway by 8-10 points
limerick looked really beaten there 2 weeks ago- galway wont allow those young lads hurl at will and certainly wont let them do it with 10 mins left

Galway are also are mentally weak. Limerick need to close this game down in the first twenty minutes. If limerick are leading after twenty minutes it’ll be in Galway’s heads how strong limerick finish and how strong their bench is. Limerick need to counter the fast start.
