St Mary’s is a club in West Waterford. Tomas Maher was a De La Salle clubman who moved to Cork to track and played with the Barr’s.

No they lived in Somerville Avenue up off Newtown. The father was a Kilkennyman. The sister is the Dean of the Sutherland school of Law in UCD now. One of the brothers survived that fatal air crash in Cork a few years ago.
Ken has made reference a few times - his auld lad played for 16/17 years & won I think 3 championship games.

That would be right. He played on the teams that beat Cork in 1974, Limerick in 82 and Tipp in 83.
