As an adult I have never driven to a match in Croke Park, I am heading back to Clare after the match to sog Porter for two or three days result dependant.
I plan on parking up early - before 10am if I can and then tipping into the city centre. Where would be the best place to park her up that wouldnât be a huge trek from Croker but also allow for an easy bus or dart into town?
Ideally I plan to head northbound after the match and get onto the m50 out through Santry or Ballymun and head out the M6 to be moving.
@Fagan_ODowd what would you recommend- anywhere more conducive to this than Clontarf road dart station?
Head in through Ballymun and park about 50metres before the pubs there in Drumcondra. Handy walk down and itâll be easy get back north onto the M50 after.
There is loads of parking at the mater off Dorset at which is v handy pre gameâŚbit of a pain to get southbound afterwards but not sure if easier heading north
If youâre in at 10 plenty choice Iâd park between Quinnâs and fagans street parking. Way home head for north to airport swing south bound m50(M50 will be chockablock)turn off m50 to n3 head for dunboyne then to maynooth your on M6 google maps is your friend. Call to Supermacs Kinnegad for a snnack box to help fund Galways 2025 bid!!
As a matter of interest, do you get parking bandits there, and what time would you need to be there to get a spot?
I remember parking out by the seafront one time and walking to Croker and it was the finest, but id the two snappers and all our luggage for 2 weeks in the car and I was uneasy at the thought of it still being there when I got back. We walked past parking bandits on the way but they didnât seem to oparate* that far out.
No you wouldnât. Itâs a quiet respectable residential neighbourhood. Iâd imagine getting there around 12 would be time enough. Itâs on the âwrongâ side of Croke Park for people coming in from Cork and Clare.
