All Ireland Hurling Prediction Thread

The mainstream media is going with a comfortable Tipp win I see.

The astute shrewd punters know the score though. This gives me great confidence.

Where is the hurling championship thread?

Since 1980 only 5 finals have not had one of the traditional 3. Sad.

Tipperary 3-18
Galway 2-17

Yes. Every single pundit/expert I’ve heard has come out with the lines that there’s nothing between these teams, very difficult to pick a winner but to a man have all come down on the side of Tipperary.

I don’t know whether this will be a cause for alarm or confidence for you, but as a neutral I fully expect Galway to win.

More confident than ever now pal.

Above all we need a good game on Sunday. Fuck it’s been a bad year in both codes

Eh ? Galway beat fuck all. Tipp put Waterfords unbeaten run to an end. League form and all things considered point to a comprehensive victory for Tipperary.

Agree but hurling needs a galway win

Although I fully expect Kilkenny to retain the AI, I think Galway are best prepared to give them a run for their money in the final.

Tip beat a very poor Limerick team and a waterford team that Kilkenny dispatched of in second gear.

Its a big game for Tipp allright. More pressure than Galway. Having said that they’ve done what they needed to do without having to break a sweat either

The same kk team dispatched Galway in 3rd gear too.
Don’t you remember our 12 point defeat of kk in the league ? The league I know !!
But put aside your hatred for Tipperary and follow the form line. We are best placed to beat kk this year, no doubt about it.

I would like to see tip win.

Just feel that they are untested and this galway team seem extremely hungry for success.

Tipp passed every test this year, with the exception of Waterford in the league. But when the chips are down I think ( all messing aside ) that our forwards will outscore Galway regardless of formation on Sunday. Our backs will adequately hold the Galway forwards.

Kilkenny dispatch Tipperary with relative ease in 3rd gear almost every year. 7 wins from 8 in the Brian Cody era, the only blip occurring in 2010 when Cody lost leave of his senses and started two lads with cruciate knee injuries.
