Teams have cottoned onto how to keep down Paudi Mahers influence in games i.e. by not playing ball down his wing at all

I would fancy them tbf but Tipp beating them / Galway implosion wouldnāt surprise me either should they meet on the semi
Tipps forwards when they are motoring are lethal
Joe Cooney wonāt play as well again and Conor Cooney wonāt have the same space again, Joe isnāt scoring much from play anymore, flip side Whelan wonāt be as quiet again
Cork might be a bit disappointed with the result today as I expect theyād have been thrilled to play Wexford in a semi-final but now theyāve a 50/50 chance of facing Tipperary. Waterford would be a different proposition than the Waterford they faced in Munster too - they wonāt be as open as they were that day.
I actually think Yeād have a better chance against then then Tipp would. In fact Iād nearly fancy ye against them.
De Burca will be a massive loss to us though

Waterford are a side that take a bit of time to play themselves into form. They donāt have that capacity to start a season hitting the ground running like Cork. Their lacklustre performance against Cork possibly had a lot to do with the 11 week lay off from their league quarter final against Galway.

Indeed. I couldnāt understand the logic of that. Even if Waterford had got to a league final, the semi final against Cork was eight weeks on from the league final.

The Galway kk replay had the city (not the town obviously) in full bandwagon mode and tickets were very scarce.
