All Ireland Senior Football Championship 2014

Provincial draws tonight.

In the west, Mayo will travel to New York and Galway will head for Ruislip.

From a Leitrim point of view, we will have home advantage if we draw Mayo, Galway or Sligo.

We will have to travel to the Hyde if it’s the Rossies.

@TreatyStones can we have your prediction for the Munster hurling draw

Connacht football semi finals prediction:

Mayo or New York versus Roscommon

Galway or London versus Leitrim or Sligo

New York or Mayo vs Sligo
Leitrim/Roscommon vs London/Galway

Wexford will draw Carlow and play Dublin the semi final before defeating Westmeath in the provincial decider.

This will be despite the distraction caused by Adrian Flynn angling for a move to join his former mentor Jason Ryan in the Kildare set up.

Dublin will get home advantage in the Leinster quarter final

There is no reason for Dublin to get home advantage in the opening round of 2014. It is an ideal opportunity to take them on the road.

The cash cow, the cash cow.

There was such a big deal made of the Dubs travelling all the way to a remote place like Longford a few years ago there’s no way they’ll be forced to travel again anytime soon.

They bring fuck all to an opener in Leinster against a minnow, the loss would be negligible and the gain astronomical.

But the cash cow!!!

A few years ago?!! It was 2006, it’ll be 8 years come the 2014 Cship, go to fuck with your few years.

Sacrifice the fucking cow.

You couldn’t bring the Dubs anywhere in Leinster, the only venue capable of possibly holding the crowd would be portlaoise and we’ve seen plenty of times they don’t have the stewarding to deal with big crowds.

Agreed. Let them play one of the minnows like Laois. It’s nice to do a bit of country travel occasionally.

Agreed, you know it makes sense and it would be ideal for all the Dubs living in Port.

Dublin got out of Pearse Park by the skin of their teeth. It was too close for comfort for Comhairle Laighean and they won’t be taking that risk again anytime soon

Changed times, that was quite an average Dublin side. This side would steamroll anything put in front of it anywhere.

Dublin: S Cluxton; N O’Shea, B Cahill, D Henry; P Casey, C Goggins, P Griffin; C Whelan, S Ryan; K Bonner, A Brogan, B Cullen; T Quinn, C Keaney, M Vaughan.

Bring the cow to Portlaoise  *

  • that is if our managerless rabble can get over Wicklow in Aughrim.
