you told me to back Mayo, back Mayo not to concede a goal , back mayo ht/ft, not to lay dublin, back 0 goals in the dublin donegal game
i have the texts to prove it and will show Ebeneexer Goode on friday
He’s a jack ass Ned. Don’t listen to him ever again. Why you ever start talking to him with his Daily Record sticking out of his arse pocket ill never understand. I won’t be there on Friday unfortunately.
There was no marking him, he was unbelievable. He is clearly a thinker as opposed to the likes of Deveraux who seems to be just a pace merchant.
Despite bomber/Totti thinking it’s impossible, McGuinness has clearly worked on Donegal’s decision making process. This of course can be done thru conditioned games which he has obviously used brilliantly.
I have to say I disagreed with his treatment of a couple of players and the press, but the result he has got is unbelievable loyalty and buy in from those there.
He did a lot of the obvious things that most expected might trouble Dublin, but it was the use of Gallagher and the steely resolve (even beyond what we say before) that was most impressive.
They are also a even more conditioned team than 2 years ago.
@Julio Geordio saying there were far better performances than Ryan McHugh’s in yesterday’s match is one of most ridiculous comments in the history of TFK. Julio must be a simpleton.
If someone told me they would do this after that performance in the Division 2 final I would have in their face. I completely wrote them off on the back of that but in my defence, after 20 minutes of the Derry game I reverted my opinion and said they were serious contenders.

McGuinness is a genius.
I decided after he admitted he made mistakes last year and had readjusted things to keep them fresher.
I decided after seeing them in the flesh in the Ulster Final. “Donegal are back operating at 2012 levels*.” But yesterday was on another level from their previous best displays.

i watched McHugh earlier in championship and thought he looked like he was far too weak to survive against the bigger teams…gallagher looked like he couldn’t run against Antrim…they ended up being probably donegal’s 2 best players yesterday…some feat by McGuinness to have them performing like that…
Gallagher was carrying an injury at the start of the campaign. MacNiallis has been the biggest surprise for me, he didn’t impress in the league final but what a player he is now. McBrearty and McGrath are two others who are much better players than 2012.
All the more impressive as their best player, in 2012 at least, Lacey, seems to some extent to be still half crocked and they have had to make up for the lack of him not being able to do what he did before.

And to thing you had to sit in front of the tv for 70mins of each match and endure them because of his erroneous tips.

would you now agree that playing in tight games is much better preparation for building momentum and intensity than hammering teams pal?..
It’s better preperation but it’s also more perilous. Donegal were put to the pins of their collar against Armagh the last day out and it was fine lines between them being there or not.
