Kilkenny will line out as they always do and not give one fuck about Waterford. They’ll let Waterford worry about them.
Kilkenny’s game has always been about beating your direct opponent and, no matter where Waterford position themselves, they’ll have a black and amber jersey up their hoops.
In fact, the one team that Waterford will adapt their system for is Kilkenny.

If only.
They were extremely up for it and were very stressed afterwards
I really don’t think they have a clue how to set up their team. They let a class act like Conor O’Sullivan go, that’s a disaster and dreadful management. Made for sweeper.
I’m not so sure. I don’t think it is in corks nature to lie down. I’m sure they would have liked to win. Waterford not only played some lovely hurling, they were well able to mix it up. I think they will give anyone plenty of it. Mightn’t get them over the line, but I don’t think kk or anyone else will batter the fuck out of them.
Anyway, we’ll see soon enough.

I agree. Waterfords 19/20/21 year olds embarrassed Cork players in their mid to late 20’s who should be physically streets ahead.
Up close you would have thought Cork were the team of young lads.
When Cork don’t work hard they are very very average. Cork entire forward line made 12 tackles in the game. Jake Dillon made 9. That sums it up. Waterford wanted it a lot more.
Cork are not as bad as people say - you have to reach a final to lose a final. Waterford are a very good team and have beaten Cork, Galway and Tipp along the way. They will start as strong favourites against Cork the next day.

Very hard to figure out what’s up with them. When it clicks they can beat anyone but hard to see them putting together 4 top performances to win the all-Ireland. Depth of the panel is also beginning to look very thin.
You could just about excuse last Sunday and the 1st half of the semi-final as “just the league” but when you throw in the abject performance against Tipp last year I fear there’s something rotten in the camp.
These Cork players need a cause.
Clare in 2014 was revenge for 2013
Limerick in 14 was revenge for 13.
Tipp are lucky that they have avoided them this year.
They dont like hard work. You cant teach or coach that. Apart from harnedy there are few you would chose to fight you out of a hole everyday of the week. they are weakminded.

You can coach hard work.
Their problem having seen a bit of the training is they play all their games and training in wide one-on-one battles in traditional set ups. It makes the battle situations less than what actually happens in games. I believe they only recently copped onto the 16-a-side games. Then train too long and slow, and anyone can go see them. I have regularly seen lads down there in the bushes watching the training. Now many will be local interested coaches, but some could also be opposition.
But you have to have a basic plan, and then adjust a bit to certain teams. Cork adjust nothing till its too late.

You can’t tackle if you are positioned 10-15 metres away from the men getting the ball. Waterford are structured and it leaves them time on the ball. Then they don’t go into tackle unless in real trouble. Cork run straight into it.
