Well half the country aren’t in the hurling championship for a start
Clare have gone very quiet. I’d be wary.
Hurling championship preview coming up on League Sunday now.
Never mind that the championship actually started today with two matches including an eight goal thriller between Antrim and Laois.
The GAA don’t allow advertisement and as a result, coverage of the Hurling Championship until the league is over. This is due to sponsorship issues. The Leinster Championship must start early to allow the Round Robin be run off. This is why the Leinster Hurling Championship Official Launch can only be allowed take place this week. It irks the Round Robin teams, but there’s little that can be done about it. If it bothers them that much, they should get their shit together and get the fuck out of the Round Robin. Alright.
They are extremely focused and united and have been doing massive training according to ******* ******
Tipp for me. KK have no full back or centre back. Limerick will be strong too. Surprised at Laois yesterday. It’ll be an interesting year.
Leinster: Dublin
Munster: Tipp
Semis: Limerick & KK
Limerick by 7.
Maurice is integral to their set up.
He is a big of decoy a lot of the time. As they develop I expect them to be evolve a bit and push teams back early and then run a bit more after a while.

Agreed. While Dunford had a super game yesterday, Waterford will never beat high class opposition in the Championship with Shanahan being double marked like yesterday.
In his annual response to hearing the word ‘Tipperary’ for the first time, Gerlock has written them off for this year’s championship:
“Most of their defence was nearly gone in the League. They will be back as a big force but having been the nearly men so often, can they make the breakthrough?
“Eamon O’Shea has still not won a trophy with this team and it’s his third year. Declan Ryan won two Munster championships.
“Can Eamon O’Shea break through and win a trophy with the team? Personally, I doubt it.”
Loughnane is hell bent on giving other counties motivation this summer.
Waterford were very very good yesterday. Can’t think of anybody who can run and score like Gleeson. They wasted a lot of ball though into their forwards. Especially in first half. I expect they will improve on that and become more composed and move ball better.
Teams playing them are going to have no choice but to push up on them and go man to man as leaving defenders back marking space doesn’t work when runners have momentum.
Tony Kelly?
we have no team
well not for septemper

Cork were farcically bad. The difference between the sidelines is unbelievable. The cork selectors sit on a bench and chat about the game like people in the stand. They have no eye in the sky and no contact with anyone. I was behind the subs and the Waterford lads were on rotation warming up off their own back
In contrast the Cork lads were sluggish and grumpy about doing it and had to be reminded several times. The use of Damien Cahalane is farcical. Starting a lad ahead of him who played well, once, in a challenge game is bad enough. Bringing him on when the game was over was insulting.
They repeatedly struck ball down on top of 2-3 Waterford players. It was some of the dumbest hurling I have seen in years.
Cork have massive issues. They have too many voices. I saw 6/7 of them together at half time chatting. How the fuck are you supposed to make decisions with that. I have seen them train a few times now and they are going nowhere.
There is complete imbalance to their team and their lack of strength and structure is unlikely to improve sufficiently this year, not to mind before Waterford.
There is clear tension in the management set up as well.
Harnedy is as important to cark now as Bonnar Maher is to chipp. They are terribly jekyll and hyde but it was all hyde yesterday.
How do the kk men @theLockes , @Piles Hussain et al think kk would line up against Waterford, who are surely not going to change a winning formula now?

JBM has pulled the wool over the eyes of the Waterford management.

Mirror them is the best starting point. Leaving a 3 forwards against 3 defenders in 80 yards of space is hari kari.
But, were cork playing possum yesterday? They couldn’t be that bad? Could they?

No, they are not that bad and Cork will still be in a munster hurling final later in the summer.
