Waterford were far too pumped up with too much left. The comments on here about no sign of fist pumping etc and then it all went to shit with about 7 mins of normal time left. Jumping and lepping about after winning a line ball. You could see it coming, the crowd and the players, it was just seeping in. They lost the head, lost their shape and hit lots of stupid shots and aimless balls in. They had 2 or 3 easy chances and just lost all composure.

They dont have the panel to change it up though. When they drew with Galway and Tipp in 2014 they were able to make three or four changes to the side and being something different. That isn’t there anymore though.
You would expect them to win the replay but it is far from a foregone conclusion. Waterford’s woekrate, mobility and aerial ability will ask questions again the next day.
And premium ticket holders were compensated with tickets. I know the contract this year specifically had both codes Semi finals on it
It was a superb performance, but they broke their own momentum when they saw the finish line coming.

For all their positives today & there were many, they never looked like goaling bar Moran’s effort.

But TJ Reid didn’t score from play today, you’d expect him to do a little better. I reckon Larkin might start the next day too. The goal came from a bad mistake though, but it was clinical.

On what basis will kk hammer Waterford in the replay? The winner will be the team who learns the most from the drawn game. Kk were out played until Waterford retreated. If Waterford don’t retreat they can definitely win it. Might have one or two injured players back. Kk have little options. 50/50 game next week.
