There’s just over one month to the draw on October 8.
Serious questions to be answered next year:
Can Waterford come up with a plan B?
Will Galway disappear as they normally do the year after they lose an All-Ireland final?
Can Dublin, Clare, Limerick and Wexford bounce back from A disappointing
2015?
Cork and Tipp will be under new management so that could temper their progress.
If Kilkenny survive the Leinster semi final intact they’ll win it again. Their two least impressive campaigns of Cody’s 17 year tenure were in 2004 (when they lost to Wexford in the Leinster semi final) and 2013 (when they lost to Dublin in the Leinster semi final). You have to halt their momentum from the very start. If they get up and running, they’re all put impossible to halt.
Dublin probably the only team that would stop them at that stage. None of Wexford, Offaly, Galway, Laois or Kerry have a record of being strong in the early stages of the Leinster Championship. Dublin tend to regress as the season goes on after starting with a bang.
What made 2015 a disappointing year for wexford pal? Seemed to be a fairly run of the mill one for them and they’re about to lose another all ireland on Saturday as an added bonus.
I hardly need to explain why losing your two main championship matches of the year, regardless of the opposition is disappointing pal.
At the least I would have expected us to stay within 8-10 points of Kilkenny and stay with Cork until the end of the game, not let them build up a huge lead and leave it too late to mount a comeback.
Winning the U21 final should will make up for it though.
