What a mess. How many players could be said to be opposed to Cunningham now?
I would guess these five and another 10 that have already left or have been dropped. There are also a number of unhappy players still in the camp who will have to make a decision pretty soon.
They would need to get their skates on. Another month and it will be too late. Even if it’s Dublin it won’t be easy to find a new manager before Christmas. What grievances do they have with Cunningham?
Peter Kelly made a bit of a tit of himself today. He said he wasn’t happy at the rate the 2013 team was breaking up as they had an all Ireland in them. I have no doubt Cunningham is rubbish but the Dublin players seem to have over inflated opinions of themselves as well.

The players are not blameless here either Shay Boland was more or leas given this job after Daly jacked. However a number of players Sutcliffe among them stated publicly that they needed a “proven all Ireland winner”. The County board then shafted Boland and appointed a far less qualified manager in Cunningham. A lot of players concerned regret their actions now as Boland would of almost certainly have done a better job.
This may also explain the disjointed nature of the players upheaval as some of them are partially responsible for creating this cluster fuck.

Hardly… piss poor and all as Sidney’s aliases and efforts at humour and political discourse are it would be some achievement to create a character as contrary and thick as that Bart lad.
