To be fair he pulled across Honan’s head - as obvious a red card as you will see. That it happened so early in an All Ireland final meant the ref/umpires were reluctant to send him off.
“The ref ruined the game with the early sending off.”
I see Boyles and Powers both have Cork and Clare at evens for the replay. There’s no way you could say watching that game that the teams were evenly matched, Clare were clearly better, although that’s not to say that Cork didn’t in the end deserve to draw. The question is if you believe that Cork just didn’t show up today and will be a totally different proposition next time then there’s value in the evens. If you believe however that the real Cork were just shown up for the most part by a much superior side then the juice is obviously with Clare. Not sure which conclusion Im leaning towards just yet would need to watch it again.
Oh really? You must have access to different camera angles that weren’t provided on today’s live TV coverage because I didn’t see the Clare man smash the Cark lad across the head with a hurley.
Lets not worry about what might have/not happened. One of the most bizarre and unusual games in history will be played again. It’s not the end of the world.
No Take Your Point with Damien O’Reilly tonight.
Instead we’re treated to a “Championship Special” with Brian Carthy, after the All-Ireland Hurling final ended in a draw, “Cork 3-16 Clare 2-19”, after “Patrick Hogan” had put Cork a point up in injury time.
So failte, and Brian is talking shite, you’d have to say.

This is absolute shite. I want Cork and Clare hotheads ringing in to complain about the referee.
