why don`t you launch an appeal about it?
You seem to have almost a loathing of Coughlan. He’ll offer something for the last 10-15 minutes when the game is loose, and he offers a lot more of a scoring threat than Moylan. Not much of a difference between the two really, one works harder and is more physical, the other will actually score.
You’re not good with the oul numbers are you?
So, you’re complaining about the ref implementing the rules properly and addressing your complaint?
Who are?
Banning is ignoring plenty of fouls Clare did in lead up to some of said incidents. The poor refereeing was his delayed reaction to Kelly’s pull on Coughlan and trying to make up for his mistake by punishing McInerney. He actually made some kind of half signal of chop.
He is not fit enough for the game. This means his brain slows down because of fatigue. He was making fatigued decisions. That’s the issue. I seriously doubt he picked on either team, he strike me as a genuine bloke but he just struggled with the pace of it.
Referees really need to be training like a 800-1500M runner in the modern game.
There is no point in getting angry with the refs, they are put in there now under massive pressure, and they are all making fatigued decisions. Just like a tired player take wrong options in a game, refs are the same.
Frank can take care of his own.
I’m too busy playing that new game sweeping the nation, big fish, little fish…
I was talking about the analysts reasoning for certain incidents…for some reason ,only known to you, you mentioned the ball being out of play…I was making a totally different point…
Look at Murphy and McLoughlin, missed large parts of the summer and way off touch and pace wise yesterday.
I take your point about his intelligence however, I’ve no doubt he might grab a couple of points here and there if he comes on towards the end. Will get a huge cheer from the crowd as well.
Still, if McLoughlin, Cronin and Lehane don’t improve considerably the next day it’s all irrelevant. The problems aren’t inside.
FFS sake. More often than not there’s a decentage percantage of the added time deliberately wasted by the winning team. It’s only right that this gets added on and more often than not it doesn’t. Gavin was dead right yesterday.
Also, usually in minor games there’s just one minute added on at the end of each half to move them along.
Looks like the sweeper was needed to protect Clare’s full back line. Without him they conceded three goals and it could hae been five
That will be on Clare’s mind. But by not playing the seventh defender they stopped Cork taking accurate short puck outs to a free man. clare half back line dominated and caught some great balls.
cork looked very tense and even I think it was Kearney spilled a ball in second half when on his own.
Cork actually started well enough but the 21 free being saved and clare scoring from that turnover was a two point swing and clare started to take control for rest of the half
I think Cork finished strongly though and wonder if Clare legs were starting to go.
Set up for the replay. No doubt both teams will be set up differenty and I expect changes in Cork starting 15. Murphy will be better next day having had that game. Kelly did a lot of damage to Cork
I would play Pa Cronin full forward with Luke o’farrell running off himas I think Clare full back line is vulnerable
I’m looking for consistency. Why wait until yesterday to suddenly allow for the ball being out of play when it is never taken into account ordinarily.
Coughlan has been superb at times this year and was very good against Dublin before the man was put off so don’t make yourself look like an even bigger fool.
thats just not true re moylan, he is simply a better hurler in my view. coughlan is very one sided at this stage
and tends to stop to hit the ball there was no room for that yesterday . i am not even going to address the stupidity of the first part of it.
I didn’t disagree with anyhthing you said. I merely said the ball was out of play for half of the last two minutes. What’s wrong with that?
???
Brian Gavin is an anti - Cork referee of epic proportions. Has made huge calls against them over the years the most blatant being the free against Donal Og for falling on the ball in the last play of the 2007 quarter final against Waterford. At the time it was unheard of to give a free in that situation and the normal procedure was a throw in. Instead Gavin gave a tap over free to Waterford to draw the match and they won the replay.

Clare crowd.
I really like him at Centre forward for the reasons you allude to. Problem is we played long high ball all day. The game wasn’t played by Cork to suit him.
But to answer your question it is certainly an option.
Ah it wasn’t unheard of. But he was right even if it was a rarity.

Nah. Moylan is workmanlike at this level, Coughlan has shown the odd flash of brilliance here and there that Moylan hasn’t. Moylan has been a bit disappointing so far - his effort and workrate are the only things that actually stand out at this level, everything else is unremarkable.
Shame because at club/Fitz level he is a really lovely hurler to watch, all class and swagger.
