All-Ireland U-21 2013
I was at the match. Carlow were fantastic. Carlow’s First touch and in particular handling of the wet sliotar in poor conditions was street aheads of Dublin. I wonder who is coaching them cos they looked super confident and well coached. A point would have sufficed to make it a draw but the scorer had the balls to go for a goal when he wd have been excused for tapping it over. Dublin might have had a claim for a free out in the build up to the goal but heck Carlow deserved an ould break.

Hon the scallion eaters!!
Coached by Pat English, son of Wexford’s Jim English

Its been done.

Scumpot have you got a list of the Dublin panel and their clubs handy please?
hold up a minute … kerry1891 what the fcuk is a kerryman doing at an U-21 leinster hurling game between dublin and carlow ??..o_O

Neverming being at the game but they have also commented on it.

glen whelan in midfield. That more or less explains dublins lack of ability to create scoring chances right there.

While it is great to see Carlow making a breakthrough, it would be disappointing to see Dublin slip back into the doldrums.

Plenty of lads from close to the Wexford and Kilkenny borders there. Glad to see the influence is paying off.

Yeah Mac, I’d say a combined Carlow/Wexford team might do a bit of damage in the Leinster Championship. Team South East maybe to follow Donal Ogs Team Ulster suggestion.

Well sure the only hurling in the county is in the southern end of the county along the Wexford and Kilkenny borders. Carlow Town have fallen away in a big way over the last decade. Kildavin/Clonegal are no longer a senior club and have become very football orientated in recent years.

We’ve always had our share of good hurlers in Carlow but when you’re picking from 7 clubs, coming up with 15 is a problem. Thankfully club rivalries have been put to one side in recent years and everybody is more or less pulling together when it comes to the county team.

A Carlow man? Well holy god.

Unbelievable win for Carlow. Fair play to them. Their senior team had a few very handy players when they played us in the Gaelic Grounds in the league this year and on the day they could have nicked a draw at the end.

They must have been a huge price to win that match last night. Think they’ve Wexford now in the semi final.

Don’t forget Rangers winning the Club All Ireland in 2012

I am based in Dublin scumpot a good few years and engage in a bit of stickfighting up here. I enjoy an old trip into Parnell Park for a hurling match

6 clubs I count represented on that Carlow under 21 team Wrigley. How many more clubs swing a hurl in Carlow? Just the one?

Offaly leading Kilkenny 1-12 to 0-12 after 45 minutes - it’s live on TG4 now.

Just tuned in after the tennis, Quirke is some hurler to be fair to him.

Kilkenny goal, and Offaly penalty!

Saved, and rebound. And that could be that.
