The same lad wouldn’t go to the match
Yes you’re right, i should retract all my comments on the game therefore.
Yes you should
Could you pick any future Seniors from that tonight?
Colin O Riordan at some stage, Forde will probably become a starter at some stage but isn’t in the class of Podge Collins, Tony Kelly or Colm Galvin IMO. It’s hard to know with the likes of Hamill and Breen as they have another two years at this level. I would like to see Justin Cahill get a run at wing back in the league if at all possible because he impressed there last year at u21. Only joking with my comments towards you by the way.
I thought Hogan took Heffernan off too soon tonight, while he looked at Bill Walsh for a fucking age. Kennedy hurled okay again tonight so maybe himself Liam McGrath,Niall O’Meara & Forde will progress.
Brian Stapleton was very disappointing.

I was at the south final a few weeks ago and was very disappointed by Bill Walsh in that game and tonight aswell. I don’t think he had what it takes to play for an inter county u21 team. I have always been impressed by6 Kennedy but although he hit a lot of ball he also made some bad mistakes tonight. Niall O Meara was out best forward tonight IMO which isn’t really a great accomplishment really. A good worker to be fair.
Liam McGrath deserves a shot, outside of O’Meara he was the only one who really made an impression. Clare are a good side but we were wiped out completely, worrying times as regards new blood for O’Shea to work with.
The slowness of everything we did was worrying and this stretches to senior team aswell. Clare were first to every break around the middle. We have no quick nippy players like Colm Galvin, Tony Kelly or Podge Collins. Our corner backs were generally way behind their men.
Is Podge a bit one sided? Late in the second half he seemed to have plenty of space of his left but stopped up and turned onto his right to shoot and was blocked down. Simple mistake or he’s not able to strike it over off the left?
Dunno mate. We were all watching the Elfsborg-Celtic game.
Wexford will beat Galway in the final. Galway don’t lose underage semi finals.
Apart from last year. Or against Clare in 09. Or the numerous other underage semi finals they have lost.
When did Wexford start winning All Ireland U21 finals Mac?
Galway edged Clare out of in after extra time at minor level two years. Clare had far more hurling than them on the day but Galway were a far more physical side. Jack Carr came on at full forward and changed the game. We are no longer a callow side at this level especially with McInerney and O’Neill down the middle of the defence, I doubt Galways hurling has improved anywhere near to be able to match us in that regards and I would expect us to beat Galway, especially if it is in Thurles. But you never know
2013
Very hard to make a case for Wexford winning the under 21s. They won’t have played a competitive game for 8 or 9 weeks between the Leinster and All Ireland final. Very hard to get back up to speed after such a break
The fact that they have JJ Doyle in their camp is a huge plus.
When you have Bruce Lee Chin anything is possible. After last night I’d have Clare as slight favourites for the final
Have Antrim pulled out or something?
