Didn’t see Limerick last week, but I can’t imagine they’d lose to either of these two. Offaly gave it a lash in the first half but just aren’t good enough.

My faith has been tested this week with the Tipp co board and all Gaa. I’m not going to go into it but the juvenile board is rotten to the very core.

A few good players on that Offaly team but in general they were poor. Dublin a good deal better but wouldn’t fancy them to beat whoever comes out of Munster.

Tipp had a decent minor team in 2013, beat Waterford, but we knocked them out in the Munster semi-final. They were god awful in 2014, one of the worst minor teams I’ve seen… how they kept the margin to 9 points against us I have no idea. Won the All-Ireland last year obviously, but some of the key players (Fairbrother & McGrath for example) are still minor and probably won’t be involved.

Barry Heffernan and Ronan Maher probably their two most high-profile players, Colin O’Riordan is gone to Australia; Tommy Nolan, Darragh Peters and Alan Tynan were all very handy too, although is Tynan playing rugby instead?

I reckon we should be winning this tbh. The experience of last year should stand to us and we do have some serious talent in the team. Tipp of last year were a bigger threat and we overcame that with 14 men. Limerick by 5.

I’ll travel anyway. Mother of Christ the wife bought me a new Limerick top for Christmas. They haven’t women since I started wearing it. I might refer back to the old one for this
