Only criticism would be Dunbars first touch, other than that its a thing of beauty. Foleys touch and vision is pure class. You almost expect that from McDonald now. Good job we didnāt send any ball towards him on Sunday. Best he was kept fresh for this evening.

Clare are well in this, Waterford have the better individuals but Clare working like dogs. By and large they are keeping De Burca quiet, not anywhere near as influential as he was against Cork the last night.
That was a tremendous match.
The young roasters deserved that win. Very well organised and prepared. Waterford had the star names but they were just outfought on the night.

Wouldnāt say he is useless but teams are copping on to him. Donāt dive in, stand him up and heāll either over carry or get bottled up. He doesnāt have the hurling of say Bobby Duggan. Gets away with taking a rake of steps alright.
When in possession he has a very annoying habit of carrying the Hurley high, almost over the defenders head.

Waterford sat De Burca in front of him for most of the game and Clare simply didnāt bother putting the ball into him. Given how dominant De Burca was in the last game it suited Clare to have him on the periphery.
OāDonnellās game isnāt to get the ball and stroke it over the bar, he is an outstanding ball winner and can win it whatever way it is put into him and is excellent at laying it off and bringing others into play. Of course it is quite hard to do when he has nobody running off him consistently at senior level but that isnāt his fault
