I apologise regularly to people from minority counties like Wexford and Tipperary for my Kilkenny privilege. It’s only fair that I recognise I was born into a better life

Well - if you were able to follow the logic from the first post, when i said homogeneous above i meant something that’s beyond laws and politics - which there’s a binding or common agreement on. It’s these values that bind us as a society . It used to be religion but now I’ve no idea what it is.
In ireland we still have strong family values and we have strong cultural values but i don’t think they constitute the values required alone. The goal in the coming years, as globalisation continues ramp up, is to find that glue beyond God. - im not sure it exists tho.

Fran asked how this all ends… by ‘this’ he means the constant agitation to emancipate society by liberals just for the sake of being liberal…

It ends in a totally bipolar society completely torn asunder… unless we sniff some glue.

Tuc is the snappy cracker that goes with cheese or anything that you please

With the advent of identity politics (identity largely being the self) this rejected the premises of a liberal society - in that we are all equal citizens. While identity politics masks itself as liberal, it’s really self promotion and self interest and as previously outlined, this eventually leads to more and more extreme ‘liberal’ views.
This is counter productive to a functioning society. Identity politics is the abandonment of equality and the abandonment of reason.
