Great game. There’s nothing wrong with gaelic football if you took the cynical, negative teams like tyrone and Galway out of it.

There’s no inherent reason why any field sport should be a “summer sport”.
RTE winter Saturday nights have been crying out for this type of match for years.
I just purchased 1 (one) ticket for meath and armagh tomorrow in pairc tailteann.
Im hoping for ferocious winter conditions.

Austin Stacks park is looking well considering the time of year.
The Irish channels are aping the Brits with the lady pundits now. I don’t know who that lass is on RTE but TG4 have had Valerie Mulcahy of Cark on their lives games in the league.

They’ve done a nice job with that terrace on the right hand side. A bit like Nowlan Park, or even Griffin Park.
A packed covered terrace behind the goal on a cold winter night is the best place to watch sport.

100% and the x7 weeks of the league are great entertainment
in general its x4 groups of 8 evenly mathced teams and it leads to excellent sport
ive said it here before but the GAA season ends for me when the football leagues are over, that huge break then until a few shadow box chamoionshio games until in august it gets a bit serious
aside from the hope a decent super 8s and a few good football semis there is nothing else (
the hurling league is absolute shite , nothing happens in the championship until the all irerland semis where you might like last year get a few decent games but its by and large a borefest

Sure it’s a different game than the walking pace game Brolly played and the rules are completely different to Spillanes day.
