Dublin arent one of the top 6 teams in reality anymore sadly…they’ve gone back a pile under Cunningham.

I had to turn it off it was depressing.

Could easily have been a straight red, lazy strike

Will be interesting to see the shape and style of Clare this evening. I would still expect to see a good bit of short hurling but with some direct stuff added to it.

From a team point of view we have three big men in the half backline but not much pace With O’Brien, O’Connor, Ryan and McInerney all to come back into the backs it could well mean that a poor showing tonight then not many more opportunities may come the way of the likes of Bugler. Shanahan and Golden are the ones we need to go well as they both offer something different. Shanahan is an excellent stickman for a big man and the management rate him very highly and I would expect him to force his way into the championship team be it at wing back or wing forward if his form and fitness hold up.

Golden brings a lot of aggression and is a strong ball carrier who is suited to dropping deep and getting on breaks. He got plenty of league time under Davy but was always played at wing forward where he looked like a square peg in a round hole. With Galvin off the panel it is all but certain that Kelly will be midfield, the question is who gets the spot with him. While you would rather have Galvin than not have him, the silver lining is that Kelly is no longer pushed forward and you can bring another worker/ball winning option into the forwards which may make a bit better balanced and add a bit more physical bite to us.

Wouldn’t be overly worried about the result tonight but am interested to see the shape and style of play and how our backs go in terms of defending without the safety net of a sweeper covering.

Any link for the Cork match?

That cork full back line looks shakey.

Very inexperienced looking alright.

Liam Aherne on commentary, for fuck sake.

Pitch looks immaculate for the time of year

Any links?

Donal Touhy in goal for Clare even though his brother wedding is today and he is the best man.

National Anthem issues

Liam Aherne on commentary duty.

Cadogan with a nice point for Cork off Jack Browne.

Bad wide from a free by Reidy

Nashs puckouts are excellent in fairness to him.

How are cork Not further ahead

Their hurling is a lot sharper so far…Kingston, Harnedy, Cadogan and Horgan are getting on a few balls…some bad wides though.

Lot of bad wides from both sides.

Kingston could’ve got a goal there.

Clare are very flat.
