Local radio commentators are effectively Goebbelsesque .

McGrath didnā€™t seem too bothered. Strange seeing Galway snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. The state of Dan on the sideline though. I hope he just throws out the jerseys and an odd yahoo and isnā€™t involved in tactics.

Stick to commenting on your own rabble you horrible cark cunt

Some of the lesser known (outside the county) Wexford players were really good today. Breen, Reck, Murphy and Nolan were very impressive. McDonald won a lot of ball in the air and his point taking was excellent for the most part. Paul Morris also chipped in with a few nice points and Chin came up with a brace of quality points late on. The first goal was tremendous with Nolanā€™s arrowed hand pass and David Dunne taking it in his stride to bury. His pace is a real asset and he won the missed penalty too. We again had an awful lot of wides and their keeper made two or three cracking saves so itā€™s encouraging that weā€™re creating quite a lot of chances despite playing the extra defender.

Shaun Murphy is a wonderful reader of the game.

To think I was laughed at for calling him the best regista in hurling at the start of the league. He has a very good engine too. He doesnā€™t play as a stationary free man in the centre behind the centre back. He roves across the pitch and gets back in around the goalmouth to cover and then back out the field again. Not just snuffing out danger but receiving passes from the other backs when under pressure and generally distributing it excellently. Minor quibble - every single game Iā€™ve been at or watched this season heā€™s burst onto a ball and fumbled it and the opposition has scored a point on each occasion. Thatā€™s the thing about him and Wexford too - doing really well but still scope for improvement.

Heā€™ll never be caught in the wrong position.

I think itā€™s amusing how often the Waterford lad, Tim Burke is hopelessly out of position. Burke is immense in the air but is often facing his own goal.

With the players we have to come in I reckon weā€™ll have the makings of a decent team in the next few years. And Davy is box office.

This must be one for your disagreeable sporting terminology thread mate? Unless itā€™s a Wexford hurling term that never made it to Cork

Iā€™m against the rugbification of hurling but welcome the use of crossover football terms.
