The players must be getting mobbed at the deli counter. Serious levels of hype

Hopefully they aren’t showing signs of temperament at the counter.

Munster would mean a lot to Cork.

And to Clare. Kelly’s CV needs a Munster

Twould be massive for Clare.

It certainly wouldn’t constitute a successful season though it would be welcomed

Not fully, no. Expectations are set pretty high. And with good reason.

A who’s who of the easily led brought out there too.

Jason Forde was the best of the Tippos yesterday, I thought he had been retired during the winter but did well yesterday. Tipp have plenty of lads like Darragh Stakelum who look half decent as subs but look well off it if they start. Bit of a side question but was Alan Tynan any good at the rugger?

He led Roscrea CC to Leinster senior cup, was just that half step below getting a central contract at out half. Apparently was supposed to be getting a contract in France d2 but Covid broke.

I’d actually persevere with him despite his limitations. He can move.

I could see them releasing at least three more songs after winning Munster

Tough yeah to make breakthrough at outhalf. He has been very up and down in a Tipp jersey, some very good days and some where as you put it the limitations are more obvious. I agree though that he can move and he does offer workrate

He should be instructed not to shoot. He’ll usually pop over a decent score or two in a game. If he gets it early (like yesterday), he’ll get the horn on him for more shots and hit a rake of wides. He does ok for a fella who missed a number of hurling years to the rubby. He should be instructed to carry ball (like a rubby player) and win frees or pass to others or cause some more chaos.

I’d agree re Darragh Stakelum too. Always looks sharp off bench, but usually looks lost as a starter. Still quite young. Might need more spuds. His brother has much more aggression and dog in him, but Darragh has the hurling. You might get one decent hurler between them.

Jayo Forde looked good alright yesterday when the game went loose but I’d be wary of what he’ll do in the heat (no pun intended) or Munster championship

Forde started really well but did he do much after the first 20 minutes?

Now, you could say the same about a lot of the Tipp team and he didn’t get a whole pile of ball. But yeah, if you get the ball into his hand, he’ll do damage.

When he came out the field again, he popped over another couple of scores and that’s probably where he’s most effective but then there are concerns about his work rate when he is outside.

Tynan does some good stuff but isn’t a great shooter as you say. I know he’s had a few days where he scores 3 or 4 but that’s not really what he’s in the team for. I’d be disappointed with his overall contribution yesterday though.

Yeah I’d say greatest impact would be as a ball carrier and worker and nothing wrong with that, teams need lads who fill that role. I like Sean Kenneally I have to say from what I have seen, is he rated in Tipp?

In fairness to Tynan the shots were on and he had no one to lay it off to. That’s probably where the likes of a Bowe comes in.

Does he not own a coopers helmet??

He’s rated alright but lack of legs is a worry, still can’t be much slower than what’s out there and definitely better in the air.

He’s very accurate.

No. He was never down as a sniper.

Tipp picking rubby players now. A new low.
