Clare robbed by the ref by the sounds of it. The boys on Clare FM were very frustrated over a few decisions near the end. These things donāt even themselves out over the season when youāre the small fish against the Dubs Iād say.

It was only Tyrone that Mayo beat, there will be far stiffer tests ahead. Thatās 3 trips to Connacht for Tyrone now in this years league and 3 defeats. They must be delighted to be competing in the Ulster championship where they will be far more competitive, while the Connacht sides slug it out between themselves.
Down had a grand win against Dessie Dolans Westmeath this evening. 5 down at halftime but won by 2. There was a lovely bit of comedy booing as John Heslin lined up a late 40 yard free that would have levelled the game, the crowd and players in perfect harmony in the dark arts. The type of event and win that can really galvanise a team - unfortunately it doesnāt improve the ability of a very limited group.
Last note from Newry is that Goughs belly is now almost the equal of his ego in terms of size. He was very generous to the home team though so long may he continue.

A cracking night in HQ. 6 down - unleash Jack flash. Chiselled lead down to level and then point up. Makes up for goal disallowed in first half and replica Clare goal allowed.
