Simple handpass inside to McHugh would have done Flaherty there
Thereâs a real skill to accurate hand passing. Kerry are great at it. So are Donegal. Hand passes that force the player to stop, kill attacking momentum and moves.
Number 20 that butchered that chance, he was woefully slow running forward.

Galwayâs efforts at trying to manage a game saw last years championship finish early for them and the signs today are they havenât improved much at it.

Galway are going nowhere fast under Joyce. Theyâve become an utterly frustrating team to watchâŚIf they got a proper manager in there he could still make something of the current bunch, but time is running out I fear.

Considering the players they are missing they have a lot of things going for them. Down 4 starting forwards today and nearly all of them are All-Stars. Just seem to have a self destructive streak in games where they cough up cheap scores or donât take their chances.

The fade outs have never been addressed. Once a team gets a run on them they fold like cheap tent.
