Allianz National Hurling League 2024

They’re desperately trying to crawl back into the long grass.
We need Caroline on here for them.

Limerick were definitely very poor yesterday, and obviously Kilkenny deserving winners. I thought the Cody red card would ruin the game as a spectacle and I was half-right even if it didn’t pan out completely as I expected. Kilkenny were very professional with 14 and Limerick never got any sort of rhythm going. Casey’s red card was stupid and means there will be a big selection question for 4 weeks time.

As poor as we were, I thought CON was very good. WOD & Hegarty were decent and Gillane constantly looked a threat inside and just needed to be fed more ball.

I don’t think we threw the game or anything like that, we were beaten by a better team, but I wouldn’t be overly worried either. There were a lot of similarities to the Waterford/Clare performances in Championship last year. Better we get the kick up the hole now than in a month’s time. It shows that if your work rate & first touch are off, you’ll win fuck all. No harm to focus the mind again, get a bit more hard work over the next week and then all hurling thereafter, I would think.

I’d also say Kilkenny 2010 had a tougher challenger in Tipp 2010 (maybe I’m biased there) than the Kilkenny 2024 or Clare 2024 challenge to Limerick. And that Tipp team had its own good fortune to get over the line.

I’d be surprised if Limerick don’t win their next 7 games

Clare time walking down the Dublin road in portlaoise with coffees in hand from the local centra

Is this just another rumour you like to spread?

Jayses, he has some walk ahead of him if he’s walking from there

No centra on the Main Street or anywhere near it

Passed them walking up and they were walking back to the killeshin about 30 minutes ago

Never mind boss I’d you mixed up.

Downeys Auto, I’d say they’re in McDonaghs Killeshin Hotel

The coffee there is pish. Pity Brew isn’t open today for them, Tom would look after them and have a chat about the time he flaked John Conlan in the league quarter final some 10 years ago.

So Laois - boasting about flaking a lad above of anything else.

Any sign of the Buff yet?

Good start by Smyth.

Portlaoise looking like a carpet out there

Breen getting caught a bit so far. Very poor start from Tipp.

Tipp are going t have to bang a few goals here

Clare hammering the slightly old and slow hammer

Impressive start from Clare

Just the 8 steps from Lohan there

Good start by Clare, much sharper all over so far.
