That was actually a very good last 15 or 20 despite Owens doing his best to make it otherwise.
John Donnelly was excellent off the bench, David Blanchfield is a serious hurler.
David Fitz best for Clare, Duggan worked hard, thought Darragh Lohan played well.

Kilkenny very wasteful with the ball in the last 15 minutes. Clare much more composed
Straight reds for whelan and dawhee.

That’s actually a serious hindrance to Limerick testing players.

Score was Dublin 1.14 Galway 1.13 after 50 mins both sides down to 14. Galway reeled off 10 points on the trot. We are very prone collapsing.
I greatly enjoyed it. Thought Owens got a few calls marginally wrong. It’s really difficult to referee but he seemed to give frees to kk that Clare didn’t get.
Great oul game all the same the second half. Hurling quality was dictated by the pitch and the weather.
The two Clare lads at the end were big boys.
Offaly were poor but I like what they’re doing with the young lads. Dan Bourke was fearless, and Sam Bourke did okay.
Big learning curve for Dan Ravenhill and Adam Screeney but great to get the exposure to them nevertheless.
