Id heard Molloy was taking a longer break and would be back. I’d say Gleeson went begging for the rest, any afford to lose so many players from last year.

If it turns out to be a Limerick v Clare final they should play it as a doubled-up fixture in Ennis on 21st April.

Let them share it if the game ends up a draw.

They did that the Covid year I’d say

A very blustery day with showers here in Cork… Spells of very strong wind.

Both things happened, if I recall.

In 2020 the Limerick v Clare Munster quarter-final doubled as the league final. In 2021 I think Galway and Kilkenny shared the title.

In fairness Kilkenny only escaped from Leinster by the skin of their teeth in 2019 and were a Dublin result against Galway away from elimination in 2022 too. Dublin appear to be a mess this year though and Wexford travel to Nowlan Park so they should be fine.

Limerick v Clare will be an absolutely massive game in Ennis.

It could be the gaa game of the year.

Clare can’t keep losing to Limerick. Limerick on the road a very long time.

Whoever loses won’t get out of Munster in my opinion.

They beat them last year

It meant nothing do.

People have gotten Limerick just got over the line v a very poor cork side in town. I think coming off the field that day releasing Waterford had beat tipp and they were in the Munster final was the winning of the all Ireland.

They knew the road from there and had nice spaces between the games.

I hate the American football references in gaa media but we saw Kansas sputter in the regular season and then it’s bang in the play offs.

If Clare topple Limerick it could just be a much shorter season for Limerick.

Likewise if Clare come out on the wrong side of a titanic battle again I just can’t see them having the belief to turn it around knowing they’d probably have to face Limerick twice more.

I think it’ll define the season.

Limerick have a brutal record in Ennis and i don’t see that changing.

It did to Clare. They’d lost to Tipp the opening weekend so had very little room to manoeuvre.

There wasn’t much jeopardy for Limerick though.

And they righted the wrong in the Munster final again.

This time it’s different. I think it’s a 50 / 50 game but it’ll have a huge bearing on the championship.

Clare were the better team in the MF also but poor shooting cost em.
At home first day out against near neighbours in a real grudge match… I think Clare will win it.

Ah I don’t know about that now. They’d just fallen over the line against Waterford and subsequently drew with Tipp which left them in a shootout against Cork that they’d rather have avoided. Only for Tipp’s surprising defeat to Waterford then Limerick wouldn’t have ended up in the Munster Final at all.

Massive game for Clare given they have a daunting trip to SuperValu Park next up. A feral crowd roaring them on in the tight confines of Cusack Park should see Clare prevail by 2-4 points

A victory for watered some of us predicted.

That’s right. I remember it now, the pitch invasion.

Ennis is a graveyard for Limerick hurling.
