Allianz National Hurling League 2025

Ye seem to have a raft of injuries every year. Is it the dual player demands or just that some lads like Ryan seems jinxed

You never know i suppose but i would expect Chin to be back for Championship. No harm Lee not playing the league i feel as long as hes right for championship.

We do seem to be having a lot of injuries, same last year. Liam Ryan is jinxed, the rumours down here is that he had to have a kidney removed recently. Im not sure if he will be back.

The Wexford People reported today that Chin is due back from Australia next week & Jack O’Connor is training with the squad having returned recently but won’t be involved this weekend.

Good to hear that Chin will be back soon. I had heard that he was staying with Matt O’Hanlon in Australia so wasnt sure if he was staying for a few more months.

Reck isn’t out for the whole league, Conor Mc could be back towards the tail end.

I heard that about Ryan too from a good source with a connection to the rapparees.
I know players playing fitzgibbon have a busy schedule but likes of Mcdonald being out for weeks having played no match is strange.

Strong team. Mackessy getting his chance.

What’s the McDonald chap midfield like? Very inexperienced bench - Kilkenny really need a bit of fresh blood into the side

We got very little from our last u20s winning team.

Dublin Antrim should be an interesting one. Davy has alot of work done with them so far.

Dublin really short. Antrim could win this.

Still think they will have too much, Cunning out for the year for Antrim is a huge loss.

Had a good year with thomastown. Barely made that u20 winning team few years ago but has improved. Be amazed if he was a championship starter.

Dublin should have way too much athleticism for Antrim in Croke Park.

Its a big setback if Dublin dont win this.

Is the younger Tommy Walsh (Tullaroan) injured or just dropped from the panel?

Surprised Zach Bay Hammond is starting given his excellent club form last year. Zach Bay Mohammed as The Buff calls him.

Zach was injured up until recently; didn’t play with SETU in the Fitz. He’s very very quick but prob still needs work on his hurling at this real top level.

Can only think he is still there.

Advantage KK one would think.

The bench lacks any experience. Rory Hayes the only one to play any kind of meaningful championship hurling.

Kilkenny look stronger on paper alright. Only 5 starters from the A/I final but it am happy to see a good few lads outside of the starting 15 get an opportunity.

Unusual to see the 4 standby players named or has the hurling league rule changed? football is still 26

That’s a beautifully designed announcement. I specifically love the county motto being brought to the fore there at the top. Simple things matter.
