Didnât the boys from Kirkcaldy turn over Glasgow Celtic in a Cup Final back in the 1990âs?
The late Jocky Wilson and Gordon Brown (Prime Minister as distinct from the Scotland and British Lions second row) big supporters of their home town club, Raith Rovers.
I thought we were fairly poor in the second half. Maeda looks like heâll get into lots of scoring positions with his speed & movement but his finishing may be somewhat erratic. Seems like one of those players that does everything at breakneck speed.
Weâll probably need Giakoumakis to lead the line in these next few games in the absence of Maeda & Kyogo. Thought he was a bit rusty but at least he took his goal well so that will hopefully give him confidence.
Ideguchi doesnât seem to be as eye catching as Hatate. His style looked to be a simple, continuity type game - just circulating the ball around but nothing too expansive.
Yeah agreed with that. Encouraging that Maeda managed to get those chances from the wider position. He was a bit wasteful but maybe a little too keen and when Kyogo is back they could be lethal together.
Guchi just did the basics really. They were so deep he didnât really get a chance to influence the game when he was passing it around back there but he didnât look overly dynamic when be went further forward. But did look tidy on the ball.
I think Ideguchi could be excellent. Playing alloa on a plastic pitch with no space just after getting off the plane and still likely living out of a suitcase is no barometer, and he still put in a shift, and crucially barely wasted a ball. If he settles he looks a really good player.
This may be cognitive bias as I really want them all to do well.
Good win that all the same.
Industrial enough approach from alloa. Some of their tackling was of the âI donât care if I crippleâ variety.
