Alloa v Celtic :Shamrock:

Ralston returns. Scales and Welsh also in at the back. Guchi into midfield. And Giakoumakis gets a chance up front.

Scalesy anytime :crossed_fingers:

That was a fine goal by GG earlier,

John Hartson wants to know if the ball needs to go out of play before a sub can be made? FFS sake,

AAAAAABBBBBADDDDDDDDDAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Hopefully McGregor just got a concussion. Well not hopefully, but I’d prefer if it was that rather than a cracked cheekbone.

Doesn’t look good

The Abada goal

Another player off injured. Abada this time.

And now Guchi gets done. That’s shocking.

Steady performance, no standouts but no everyone decent. Thought Guchi looked good, Abada looked to be playing with more confidence. Giakoumakis has been decent but could have done with the second goal for his confidence.

The injuries are a pain but that’s the worry when you pay a bunch of cloggers, I don’t think the tackles were too bad just a little unlucky. The Guchi one looked the worst. Think Abada just took a bang and will be fine, McGregor possibly has broken his cheekbone but should be able to play with a mask. I doubt any of them will be long term but we’ve a lot of games coming up in the coming weeks and already without Maeda, Rogic and possibly Kyogo for them.

Ajeti must have had a really bad tear if he’s not back training yet, presume Mikey not included as worried about plastic pitches and his injury record along with the attackers available so hopefully he comes into the mix midweek.

I’d say Guchi 2-3 weeks
Abada - fine
McGregor - face mask

McCarthy has been rubbish since he came in.

A goal from nothing for Alloa.

Less than convincing performance but it never looked like being a day for that.

Giakoumakis took his goal well but wasn’t great after. Maeda was lovely for a few chances but finished poorly for his best chance.

Thought we were generally sloppy. Ralston was a hit wasteful. Rogic wasn’t really on form. McCarthy wasn’t great either.

But despite the late goal it was comfortable and it was frustrating more than nervy.

I’d go for Hearts

Hart

Juranovic
CCV
Starfelt
Taylor

Hatate
Bitton
O’Riley

Forrest
Giakomakis
Jota

I wouldn’t have expected O’Riley to start but it depends on injuries and we’re short on attacking midfielders with Rogic and Turnbull missing at the same time and perhaps McGregor. I think McCarthy sitting with Bitton further ahead is more likely but it doesn’t seem very dynamic.

Celtic home to Raith Rovers in the last 16

Ange has said McGregor’s injury is “significant.” FFS sake.

We never seem to look comfortable on a plastic pitch, and it’s always been the case that it’s been a big advantage to the home team.
Alloa just parked the bus.
