Ah ffs

What’s up?

Actually i have her mixed up with another woman politician. Who is your one from Cork that wears a red outfit often?

It’s Kathleen Lynch i am thinking of. Carry on The Runt.

Jose Maria Olazabal.

For all that he is a WUM as a pundit he is very much an alright sort behind it all

Sunday Game analyst Joe Brolly is recovering in London after donating a kidney to a club-mate from St Brigid’s GAC in Belfast.

Brolly, 42, and 40-year-old Shane Finnegan remain under medical supervision at Guys Hospital after the operation, which took place on Wednesday.

The former Derry star said it was an honour to have helped.

“I’m honoured to have been in the position to help Shane,” Brolly said.

“He’s been waiting for a transplant for over six years and when I heard that the only possibility of a one was through a live donor I contacted his medical team.

“And, of course, in my considered opinion it’s all going according to plan – and thankfully the doctors concur!”

Brolly and Finnegan coach an U-10 side together, and the latter admitted he was overwhelmed by the gesture.

“Joe’s altruism is overwhelming and, of course, there are no words to thank him or his family for his wonderful gift."

Finnegan added: “I know its early days, but I’m so relieved that it’s all going well for both of us so far.”

Joe Brolley is an alright sort, always has been. What an incredible gesture that was. Unreal generosity.

Can’t stand the fucker but that is top drawer stuff.

Never understood the animosity towards Brolly. He played with football with flair, no little skill and a smile on his face. In the media, he has a bit of fun and can be a WUM but also a very good pundit in terms of reading a game or assessing a team. I saw a documentary a while ago and he works hard, is educated and provides for his family the best he can. He’s a good man. And what he did there is superb. An alright sort and then some.

Fair play to Brolly there.

He’s a top WUM too.

I have a lot of time for him, but him and Spillane can be very OTT with their negativity. I think a lot of rank and file GAA men would not warm to him for the reasons you have outlined above. His style of football, intelligence and ability to go against the grain would only alienate him to a lot of the backward cunts involved in the association and those watching on a sunday

I’ve always considered him a thoroughly alright sort.

He is too brainy for GGA types

A front runner to win the award this year i would think, antepost favourite possibly.
